This Friday, February 20,2026, the Administration of ESSI-Nyamirambo school organized the study tour for twenty students of S5MCB at Rwanda Forensic Institute.Those students were with their Biology teacher Mr Jean Claude MANIRAFASHA and school patron Me Abdul Karim NGIRUWONSANGA. This study tour at Rwanda Forensic Institute (RFI) was focusing on DNA testing & Forensic. Students were showed how to perform a DNA test and which materials used. So the DNA test is performed on blood identification, semen, saliva and other body fluids to determine possible sources of the body fluids identified.Learners asked many questions in the way of deeply understand how those tests are done. In short, learners benefit a lot with this study tour by practically seeing how DNA test is done. Also, the presenter said that their forensic scientists provide services for criminal, defence and civil law cases, as well for industry and private cases.
